Here you can see Caris painting David, who is cutting Étienne’s toe nails whilst his majesty reads!
We went with Amalia to her village – more about that later. Meanwhile, here is Étienne with a gourd which, when ripe, is picked and dried then a hole is made in the fat end and it becomes a ladle.
There is Caris with Amalia’s niece with a chicken which has just had its feet bound ready to come in our car back to Amalia’s home.
There is a young girl with a pumpkin on her head. Her mother was also carrying one. We stopped and gave them a lift as they had far to walk and it was so hot.
The last one is women washing and drying clothes. As with many people, they have to get all their water from a tap that will serve an area. And drying lines are fences.
