There are quite a few of these travelling shops. The people carry all sorts of wares inthese flat cardboard boxes; hair stuff, batteries, teabags. They walk for miles and sell to whomever they meet along the way.

Having a cow

When the CESA team came up. Bsp Kalangula slaughtered a cow to be eaten by everyone. David took these pix of the carcass. I have labelled one pic to give you a better idea (as if you wanted one, hey!).
The other two pix with Caris in show a cow’s head we saw for sale (in a wheelbarrow) by the side of the road. Unfortunately, by the time I had gone home and got my camera, they had de-horned it.
They are not called the Kwanyama (People of the Meat) for nothing. They prize cows (eengobe) very highly. There is even a word which means ‘song of praise to cattle’.
